Island units a place for all activities not just food preparation and cooking. Here at SMC kitchens we have an array of island units of all shape and sizes that ensures we can create the perfect island size for any room. Islands that use our full depth units back to back making the depth for the island and work surface area when using laminate surfaces up to a maximum depth of 1170mm. This depth can be increased further when using materials such as quartz which is available as a jumbo slab 1600x3200mm giving a maximum working area of five square meters.

This worktop sketch detailing the required dimensions including the exact position for the under mount sink cut-out was forwarded onto the stone suppliers for fabrication and costings. As can be seen in the images this system works perfectly.
