Project Notes
This project was a complete kitchen renovation, transforming a previously divided space into an open-plan kitchen-dining area. The work included removal of the dividing wall and installation of a structural steel support, based on full structural calculations. Electrical and plumbing systems were altered to suit the new layout. The ceiling was re-plotted for new downlights, walls and ceiling were fully plaster skimmed, and the room was completely painted.
Kitchen Design Brief
Mrs. Waters originally preferred using a gas hob, especially for making traditional Welsh cakes. To help her decide, she was invited to the showroom to test the Neff self-venting induction hob. After using it to make Welsh cakes and being impressed with the performance, she had no hesitation in switching to induction. A key feature that influenced her decision was the hob’s ability to link two zones into one large cooking area. The design also included chair-height seating, tailored for the comfort of their grandchildren.
